The original brooch this geometrically designed enamel badge was based on, was found at Highdown Hill and is part of the Worthing Museum and Gallery collection.
Known as a “Saucer Brooch”, it dates from the 5th/6th century and was originally made in bronze with a thin layer of applied gold.
